Nigel King

Nigel King is Group Marketing Manager – Infant Nutrition, Heinz Wattie’s Ltd – an H J Heinz Company - based in New Zealand.  Nigel’s expertise is marketing, consumer insights and sales. His previous positions have included marketing roles for Lion NZ and Kerry Foods in the UK, as well as a variety of technical and commercial roles with Fonterra in NZ and in the Philippines. Nigel has also taken a sabbatical from his career to be a stay at home dad with his two young children prior to joining Heinz Wattie’s. Nigel gained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from Canterbury University, and his Post Graduate Diploma in Dairy Science and Technology from Massey University

 

Shareef Khan

SK

Shareef Khan is the General Manager Group Operations for The a2 Milk Company.

Shareef joined The a2 Milk Company in June 2012 and is responsible for providing strategic leadership in group operations across all a2 markets. He has over 15 years senior management experience and leads a dedicated team across The a2 Milk Company globally. He has experience in various industries some of which include FMCG and Infant nutrition.

 During his career, he has held senior leadership roles including Supply Chain Director for Danone (Nutricia) Infant Nutrition ANZ. Shareef holds a Bachelor of Science, Post graduate Certificate in management and is a Certified Supply Chain Professional with APICS.

 

 Leon Clement

 

Leon is an executive with a track record of leading strong performance improvements and strategic change in FMCG companies in New Zealand and Asia.

He has a strong balance of strategic commercial acumen and people leadership. Leon believes in building great businesses by growing great people and teams with clarity and focus around a shared vision.

His specialist competencies are change management, sales and marketing leadership, and FMCG manufacturing and distribution. Leon has worked in New Zealand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka with a focus on consumer and foodservice FMCG sectors. 

 

Karl Ye

KY 

 

Karl was born in the Liaoning Province of China and attained his master degree in international economics at Wuhan University. In 1992, Karl migrated to Australia with his wife Sonia who went on to complete her own PHD studies in Public Health at the University of NSW. Karl worked in a few industries before embarking on his own business in 1994, exporting natural nutritional products. This was the beginning of GMP Pharmaceuticals, which he later expanded to New Zealand in 2001. Karl Ye is the chairman of GMP group and managing director of GMP Dairy Ltd. 

Karl was elected as a Director to the Board of the Infant Nutrition Council on 10 November 2015, representing the Associate members.

 

Hamish Reid

HR 

Hamish grew up in Christchurch New Zealand, graduating from Canterbury University (NZL) with an MSc in Environmental Microbiology.  He then joined the New Zealand Dairy Board graduate program and completed a Diploma in Dairy Science and Technology.  From there he worked in various technical and product development roles within the Dairy Board and New Zealand Milk Limited, holding the position of Global New Product Development Manager – Dairy Foods, before moving to Taiwan on assignment in 2004.  In Taiwan and then later in the Philippines Hamish held senior FMCG marketing roles developing a range of categories including adult nutritionals and growing up milk products as well as more mainstream cheese, butter and UHT milk ranges. Following completion of his assignment in the Philippines in 2010 Hamish left Fonterra to join Bega Cheese Limited as the Business Manager Nutritionals, responsible for Bega’s global infant nutrition business based at the Tatura Milk Industries operation in northern Victoria.  This year Hamish completed the Stanford University Executive Program in the Silicon Valley, California.  

Hamish was elected as a Director to the Board of the Infant Nutrition Council on 10 November 2015, representing the Associate members. 

Nutricia, Synlait Milk and Aspen Nutritionals also hold seats on the INC Board.
